Welcome to the world of dog training! We’re glad you’re here. In this beginner’s guide, we’ll show you how to train your dog. So sit back and get comfortable! We’re about to demystify the fun and exciting world of training dogs.

Get the proportions right

First of all, it’s important to get the proportions right.

Rewards and punishments are both necessary for training a dog. You need a balance between the two if you want your dog to learn properly. It’s also important that you be consistent and patient when training a dog. This will help them understand what is expected of them in different situations.

You need to be fair when training your dog. It is best to focus on one command at a time. Once you notice they can follow that command, then you can add more. If you give too many commands at one time, they won’t know what behavior is most desirable from them. Consistency is the best when training a dog.

Kindness should always come before firmness—you should never punish an animal unless it has done something wrong; even if it did make mistakes during training sessions such as biting or jumping on furniture while excitedly greeting visitors who came over unexpectedly (as dogs often do), there are ways forward without resorting immediately back into punishing mode again just because someone else may not understand how much energy their pet has expended trying so hard not get excited by seeing another person again after being away from home for so long!

Be Yourself

You should not try too hard to be someone you’re not. If your dog doesn’t like your attitude, he or she may not be motivated to perform the way you want him or her to. If you have a friendly, calm, and confident personality then your dog will respond better than if you were aggressive and mean towards them.

Be Prepared

When you’re training a dog, you need to be ready to handle any unexpected situation.  The best rule is to always be prepared. Maybe your dog will have a bad day, or maybe he’ll have a good day! But either way, if you’re not prepared for it and ready to deal with it then things could get ugly fast.

You should also know how long each step takes so that if something goes wrong (like if there’s an emergency), then you’ll know exactly how long before help arrives; otherwise, there could be consequences – both figurative (like losing money) and literal (like dying).

Dog training is hard and you need to put the time and effort in

Training your dog is not an easy task, but it’s worth it. You’ll need to be patient, consistent, positive, and firm. When you’re training your dog you need to make sure that they understand every command that you give them.

You will also want to make sure they are being fair while they are learning these commands by not giving too many commands at once or making them do something repeatedly if they can’t do it the first time around.

So there you have it: dog training is hard, and you need to put the time and effort in to make it work. With patience and persistence, however, your puppy will be a happy dog in no time!
